Bauxite Hills Dso Bauxite Project
Process 26 were engaged by Metro Mining to supply a three-stage sample station for their Bauxite Hills DSO project on the Cape York Peninsula in far north Queensland. The plant was designed to sample 1500 tph of minus 100mm bauxite ore.
The sample station was designed in accordance with Australian Standard AS 2806.1-2003 Aluminium ores- Sampling Procedures. FL Smidth Essa provided all of the sampling equipment with the exception of a Process 26 custom-built linear sample collector. The major pieces of vendor supplied equipment comprised:
- Essa BDLS40 Belt Drive Linear Sampler - Primary
- Essa BDLS 20 Belt Drive Linear Sampler – Secondary
- IBS Model 1524 Lump Breaker
- Essa RC3000 Rolls Crusher
- Essa BDLS Belt Drive Linear Sampler – tertiary
Process 26 custom built belt feeders and conveyors were supplied complete with stainless steel belt covers.
Process 26 was responsible for all civil, mechanical, structural and electrical design. Fabrication and procurement activities were managed inhouse.
Our onsite construction team assembled, tested and commissioned the sample station onsite.
