ARGYLE RECLAIM HOPPER AND APRON FEEDER

Location:
Argyle Diamond Mine, WA
Client:
Rio Tinto
Type:
Engineering, Procurement and Construction

Process 26 worked with Argyle Diamond Mine (ADM) to perform an option study for reclaiming ore from an emergency feed stockpile at a feed rate of 1400 tph. The solution was to utilize a second-hand hopper and apron feeder with appropriate modifications to suit the new location.

The engineering and design capabilities of Process 26 allowed the detailed structural and civil design to be completed in-house. The scope of the design included the hopper support structure steelwork and footings, transfer chute, concrete bump stop for the front end loader, wing walls and maintenance platforms.

Process 26 executed the procurement and fabrication of all structural steel, platforms and chute work, and then went on to perform the mechanical and structural installation of the reclaim hopper system. All on-site management, supervision and labour required to complete the works were provided by Process 26.

Management services were also provided to assist with the commissioning process.
